A few weeks later she asked me if I was a Baptist. I told her no. “I'm non denominational,” I answered.
She said she was also. She then asked me to pray for her, and me not missing a beat, asked her what was wrong. “You can't get a prayer through?”
She was so caught off guard by that question.
“I can get a prayer though,” I told her.
The reason why I said that to her is because even when we can't pray for ourselves, the Holy Spirit will. Romans 8:26-28 says, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
Later on that day she told me that I had did a good job.“I got my answer,” she said.
