  1. Ask for feedback on how you are doing as a secretary and if they have any suggestions for improvement.
  2. Keep track of all communication between members, including emails, phone calls, etc., so that you can refer to them when necessary.
  3. Find a way to stay organized. Use post-it notes, color coding, or whatever works best for you.
  4. Know your role and the organization's mission
  5. Serve as a liaison between members of the unit and other units.
  6. Send out reminders about upcoming meetings to all members in advance
  7. Find out what is going on in their lives outside of work
